All schools and offices in the San Bernardino County Unified School District have reopened after they had closed down due to the Line Fire.

More than 2,600 firefighters from agencies across the county are working in the Angles National Forest near Wrightwood looking to snuff out the Bridge Fire that’s burned more than 54,000 acres. Macy Jenkins reports for the NBC4 News at 11 p.m. on Sept. 14, 2024.

Firefighters gained more control over the Line Fire that’s been raging through the San Bernardino National Forest, containing the wildfire by 36% as of Sunday.

Firefighters are making progress battling the massive Airport Fire today in Orange and Riverside counties, where 23,519 acres have been charred with containment now at 19%.

The Line Fire has burned 38,417 acres and containment is at 29% as of Saturday night.

Residents of Wrightwood were urged not to drink their water in an advisory issued Saturday by the Golden State Water Company.
