Cooler temperatures are coming our way over the next few days. At the start of next week temperatures may be in the 60s and 70s with a chance of some spotty morning drizzle. 

Temperatures will continue to cool the rest of the week. Numbers are 10-20 degrees below average and more cooling is expected early next week.

Smoke from the Bridge, Line, and Airport fires will continue to affect parts of the region, including the deserts. The diurnal wind pattern could cause flare-ups this afternoon and increase the smoke. 

Today marks the beginning of a cooling trend. However, temperatures will still be high, ranging from the 90s to low 100s inland. Excessive Heat Warnings remain in effect through 8pm tonight.

We’ve got another hot day with heat alerts in effect through tonight. There’s also a smoke advisory in effect for most of the area due to the multiple fires that are burning. In the mountains, there’s a slight chance of showers and storms this afternoon.

Temperatures will be very high from Tuesday to Friday, with the hottest days being Thursday and Friday. An Excessive Heat Watch has been issued for most of our area during this time as temperatures run 10-15 degrees above average.
